Step 1
In the splitforms dashboard, open Integrations → Google Drive and choose the scope: one form (its own folder), or all forms on your account (one shared folder).
Integration · Google Drive
Copy every form file upload into a Drive folder you own.

splitforms connects your forms to Google Drive and moves every submission across the moment it's received — no manual export, no copy-paste.
Every submission is emailed to you and saved to a searchable dashboard, so the lead is captured even if Google Drive is unreachable.
Connecting Google Drive to your forms is included in your plan — no add-on charge and no per-message billing from splitforms.
Example: form markup
The form posts to https://splitforms.com/api/submit. The Google Drive routing is configured in the splitforms dashboard against the form's access key — there's no client-side Google Drive-specific code in your HTML.
<form action="https://splitforms.com/api/submit" method="POST">
<input type="hidden" name="access_key" value="YOUR_SPLITFORMS_KEY" />
<input type="email" name="email" placeholder="[email protected]" required />
<textarea name="message" placeholder="Your message" required></textarea>
<button type="submit">Send to Google Drive</button>
</form>How it works
Here's how to send form submissions to Google Drive in 5 steps — no code required, and most teams finish in a couple of minutes.
In the splitforms dashboard, open Integrations → Google Drive and choose the scope: one form (its own folder), or all forms on your account (one shared folder).
Click Connect and sign in with the Google account that should own the files. splitforms only requests Google's non-sensitive drive.file scope, so it can create and write to the folder it makes — it never sees the rest of your Drive.
splitforms creates the folder automatically ('splitforms uploads', or 'splitforms uploads — <form name>' for a per-form connection) and shows it on the integration page.
Click 'Send test file' — a small test file should appear in the folder within seconds.
Roll the form out. Every stored upload is copied into the folder right after submission, named with the form and a short reference so two applicants both uploading resume.pdf never collide.
How teams use it
splitforms has a native Google Drive integration for file uploads: sign in with Google and every resume, certification, or screenshot submitted through your forms is copied into a Drive folder you own — automatically, permanently, and without Zapier. Signed download links in emails expire after 7 days; the Drive copy is yours forever. Prefer a plainer destination? The same form can also send form submissions to email or forward them to any webhook.

Why splitforms
Formspree and Web3Forms deliver uploads as expiring links only; splitforms' native Drive integration gives you a permanent copy in your own storage from Pro, with no Zapier fee. splitforms is free for 500 submissions (no card), then $5/mo on Pro (5,000/month) or $49/year on Annual (15,000/month), with no per-integration add-on fees.

How SplitForms works
splitforms receives the submission, filters spam, saves it to your dashboard and emails you — then, on paid plans, sends it on to your webhooks and integrations. No backend infrastructure to build.

Point your form to your unique SplitForms endpoint. That's it.

We instantly capture and organize every submission in your inbox.

Send data to email, spreadsheets, CRMs, webhooks, and 7,000+ apps.

No credit card required. Set up in under 60 seconds.
Connect & automate
On paid plans, submissions can also go to Slack, Discord, Google Sheets, Notion, Airtable, Zapier or any signed webhook — and splitforms works on the platforms you build on, from WordPress and Shopify to Next.js. With Stripe connected, your forms can take payments too.

Common questions
It's native. Connect your Google account once in the splitforms dashboard and splitforms uploads the files itself, right after each submission. No Zapier scenario, no Make credits, no glue code. If you prefer your own pipeline, the outbound webhook also includes a files array with pre-signed download URLs you can fetch from any automation.
Google Drive unlocks on paid plans alongside the Storage integration. Uploads run through the same limits as storage: up to 5 files per submission at 5 MB each. There's no per-file fee — the files land in your own Drive, on your own Google storage quota.
Only Google's drive.file scope, which is non-sensitive: it grants access solely to files and folders splitforms itself creates, never the rest of your Drive. The consent screen is a clean one-click with no 'unverified app' warning. Revoke access any time from your Google Account's Security settings or by disconnecting in the splitforms dashboard.
Yes. Connect Google Drive with no form selected and uploads from every form land in one shared folder; connect it scoped to a specific form and that form gets its own dedicated folder instead. A form with its own folder never double-writes into the account-wide one.
Each file is uploaded as '<form name> — <original filename> (<short reference>)', so two applicants who both upload resume.pdf get distinct, traceable files. The original file also stays in splitforms storage and remains downloadable from the dashboard.
No. The Drive copy is an extra destination, not the primary store. The submission, its notification email, and the file in splitforms storage are all unaffected; the integration page shows the last error so you can reconnect and the next submission resumes copying.
