Yes, splitforms is a free form backend: the Free plan includes 500 form submissions in total, with no credit card and no time limit. It also includes unlimited forms, smart spam filtering, email notifications and the submissions dashboard. Pro ($5/month) or Annual ($49/year) add exports, webhooks and integrations when you need them.

When the 500 free splitforms submissions are used, new submissions are refused with an HTTP 429 response until you upgrade, because Free is a one-time total that does not refill monthly. Submissions you already received stay in your dashboard. Upgrading to Pro ($5/month) or Annual ($49/year) restores delivery immediately with the same access key, and there are no surprise charges.

Connect your Stripe account, set a fixed amount in the form's Payments settings, and submitters are sent to Stripe Checkout after they submit. Each submission is marked paid or unpaid.
splitforms stores submissions in Supabase Postgres with row-level security, which prevents one customer from reading another customer's rows. Authorized service operators may access data only for support, security, and service operations. We never sell submissions or use them to train models. EU data residency is on the roadmap.
Yes, one splitforms access key works on multiple websites, and every plan includes unlimited forms if you prefer a separate key per site. Pro and Annual add the volume agencies need for lots of client forms.
splitforms accepts file uploads on paid plans once you connect the Storage integration: up to 5 files of 5 MB each per submission. Storage is 500 MB on Pro and 5 GB on Annual. On the Free plan, text fields are saved but attached files are dropped.
To migrate a form from Formspree, Web3Forms, FormSubmit or Basin to splitforms, change its action URL to https://splitforms.com/api/submit and replace the access key. Your existing field names (name, email, message and so on) work as-is, and there are step-by-step guides for each competitor.
