Refund & cancellation policy

Last updated: August 19, 2026

The short version: you can cancel anytime, and canceling stops all future charges immediately. We don't issue cash refunds for amounts already billed — instead we make things right with account credit, extra subscription time, or plan adjustments. Here's exactly how it works.

How billing works

Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period — that's how subscriptions work everywhere, and it's how our payment provider processes them. We don't manually charge you; the renewal happens on schedule until you cancel. That means staying subscribed or not is entirely in your hands: if you no longer want the service, cancel before your renewal date and no further charge is made.

Cancel anytime

Cancel from Dashboard → Billing → Manage billing — it takes under a minute and needs no email to support. When you cancel:

Deleting your account

You can permanently delete your account from Dashboard → Settings → Your account → Delete account. Deleting your account cancels any active subscription first, so a deleted account is never charged again. Deletion is permanent: your forms, submissions, and files are removed and cannot be recovered.

Why we don't issue cash refunds

We process payments through a payment gateway in which our access is limited to viewing and flagging transactions — we cannot push money back through it. That is a technical constraint, not a judgement about your request. So instead of refunds, when something goes wrong on our side we make it right in ways we can control:

If you were charged after a renewal you meant to cancel, email support@splitforms.com — we'll cancel the subscription with you and credit the unused time toward whichever of the options above suits you. What we can't do is send the money back, so please don't wait on a renewal you don't want: cancel from your dashboard the moment you decide.

Disputed charges

If you believe a charge is fraudulent — a card used without your permission — contact us first and we'll flag the transaction with the payment provider and shut down the account involved. That's different from a change of mind, which the sections above cover.
