To add a Small Business Order Form to your site you need three things: a free splitforms access key, the HTML snippet above, and your key pasted into it. No backend, database, or CAPTCHA library — the form posts to one URL and every submission lands in your inbox and dashboard.
Required: product or service (dropdown of your SKUs or a free-text 'what would you like?'), quantity, any options (size, colour, variant), and the customer's preferred date or deadline. The fields you need depend on what you sell — start simple, add as you learn what customers ask.
Customer name, email, phone, delivery or pickup preference, address (if delivering), and any notes. For local businesses, a 'pickup vs delivery' radio routes the order to the right workflow.
Webhook the order into your inbox or a Google Sheet for tracking. Auto-respond with order confirmation, an ETA, and a payment link (Stripe, Square, PayPal) if you take payment upfront. For quote-based orders, reply with the price before invoicing.

Questions
Yes — use dropdowns for fixed variants (size, colour, material) and a free-text field for custom requests. For complex product configurators (engraving, custom dimensions), graduate to Shopify or a real ecommerce platform — the form is for orders that fit in a few fields.
Depends on your business. For fixed-price products, redirect to Stripe Payment Links or Square Checkout after submit — they handle PCI compliance and inventory. For quote-based or custom orders, send an invoice after you've confirmed the price. Don't build payment into the form itself unless you want PCI scope.
Webhook each submission into a Google Sheet, Airtable, or Notion database — one row per order, with status columns (new / confirmed / in progress / ready / delivered / paid). Shared with whoever fulfils orders. For most small businesses, that's a better system than email alone and costs nothing.
Not natively. For products with limited stock, capture the order and confirm availability in your reply — 'we have 3 left, want all of them?' For real-time inventory, you need Shopify or similar. Most small-batch makers run on first-come-first-served and just message back if something's gone.
Yes — swap the product field for a service dropdown (consultation / repair / installation / custom commission) and a project-description textarea. Service orders usually need a quote reply rather than instant payment — the form captures intent, you reply with scope and price.
Every form ships with a hidden honeypot plus a server-side spam classifier. For persistent abuse, add a Cloudflare Turnstile or hCaptcha as a second layer. Order forms get less spam than contact forms because the spam payoff is lower, but the protection is the same.
